So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Dinosaur Adventures
Today we have all had a very busy day at the World Museum Liverpool. It was great to see everyone so excited to learn more about the dinosaurs. We have been lucky to see dinosaur leg bones, skeletons, eggs and teeth. We loved holding a piece of the spine and seeing just one T Rex tooth gave us an idea of how sharp their bite would be. Thank you to all the adults who have volunteered their time today and to Mrs Lawlor for organising our visit.
Our preparations for our visit have been wonderful this week. It all started with a song, 'We're going on a dinosaur hunt....' We talked about how we stay safe, and at story time we have shared stories all about going to a museum.
We have got exciting news! We have all entered a competition to write a letter to a T-Rex. The T-Rex features in our focus story this week, Dear Dinosaur. Our letters have been written in class over the last few days. Good Luck Reception!
We have been busy making Valentines cards in the style of Damien Hirst. I hope you enjoyed giving them to your loved ones at home. Creating posters has been the focus with our RE learning this week. We have thought about how we can care for God's World.
Have a wonderful half term holiday. I think the dinosaurs are looking forward to a rest too, they have helped us to do lots of exciting learning jobs this half term.
See you soon,
Mrs Pointon
