Well, we came in to breakfast club this morning to find the toys have been having a bit of fun over...
Dentist Visit - Preschool
Yesterday Steph visited us at preschool and told us all about her job being a dentist. She started of by asking us "what do we use our teeth for?" Freddie replied "for biting". We then learnt they helped us to smile, eat and speak.
Next we talked about keeping our teeth healthy, we learnt that too much sugar is not good for our teeth. We then looked at different foods and drinks and had to think carefully then place them on the good smile or the bad smile.
We talked about how else we could keep our teeth healthy "you have to brush your teeth" said Verity. We then all practised brushing our teeth. We start brushing the outside first, then brush inside top and bottom teeth, lastly bite teeth together and brush, we should do this for 2 minutes day and night.
Lastly Steph read a story called "Going to the dentist' and gave us all a teeth cleaning chart and stickers.
Thank you Steph,
from all at preschool
In the afternoon linking to our visit about keeping healthy, the children made a healthy sandwich. First they buttered there bread and chose their filling and added lettuce which has been grown in our preschool garden. Next they carefully cut their sandwich in half, lastly they ate it — yum!
