A Busy Week for Sports

Home » News » A Busy Week for Sports

It's been a super busy week for sports at Wybunbury!
Monday saw the Cheshire & Warrington Games final for our year 3 & 4 footballers.
Here is an extract from an email from the School Games Organisers, which shows just how big this competition was:

Day 2 of the School Games Winter Festival took place on 16th March, hosted by Vale Royal School Sport Partnership. The Level 3 competition for Quick Sticks Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Football & Basketball took place across the Hartford CofE High School, Mid Cheshire College, and St Nicholas CHS venues.
366 participants from 39 primary school teams, enjoyed an amazing day of team sports which was made possible by 110 young leader volunteers, 5 NGBs & 8 SSPs.
Representing Crewe & Nantwich SSP the team from Wybunbury came second in the Football competition.

On Tuesday, our winning Cheerleaders had the opportunity to showcase their routine once more as part of the opening ceremony for the High School Games final. What an honour! The link to the School Games website can be found here.

Thursday saw our successful gymnasts come fourth in their first competition! There was success also for Olivia (y2), winning an amazing silver medal!

A brilliant week all around! Well done Wybunbury Delves!
