Bonfire Fun - Preschool

Home » News » Bonfire Fun - Preschool

What a colourful, sparkly day we have had at preschool. Thank you all for coming in all your wonderful bright colours today.

We have been thinking about bonfire night and how we can stay safe. Lots of the children remembered what P.C Nick had told us.

"You need to keep pets inside" said Max, "why I ask?" "cos they get scared" you reply.
"You have to stay with an adult and not get to close to the fire" said Hugh.
I asked about how we could stay safe with sparklers."You wear gloves" replied William.
"You keep it away from your face" said George. "You can't touch it cos its hot" said Lulu.
We thought about how we could keep warm on bonfire night. "Wear hat and scarf" said Megan and "gloves" said Alexander.

We all promised that we would stay safe this bonfire night.

We have enjoyed lots of crafts and activities today, particularly exploring what happens when we mix colours together "they change" observes Hugh. We have used shape to create a rocket, the children have loved flying these around preschool . Our favourite activity was splattering paint to create a firework display.

I hope you enjoy sharing all the lovely things the children have created today.

If you are going to any bonfires this weekend, enjoy, stay safe and stay warm. I look forward to hearing all about it next week.
