Bonfire Fun - Preschool

Thank you for all coming dressed in your bright colours yesterday for our bonfire fun day!

We began our day thinking about how to stay safe on bonfire night,
— never throw fireworks
— wear gloves when holding a sparkler
— keep pets indoors
— stay with our mummies and daddies
— never light fireworks
— stand far back from the bonfire
and most importantly... have fun! So a fun day we had!

We thought about the sounds fireworks make and had a go at making the sounds; pop, bang, whizz, crackle, wheee and whistle!

We explored colours and how colours mix through creating a Catherine wheel and a firework picture and we developed our fine motor skills by using pipets to squeeze paints to create a firework picture.

I think the favourite part of the day was making our chocolate apples!

I hope you all had a lovely, safe bonfire night.
