This week in Year 4 . . .

Back on Monday, we got to taste biscuits during our English lesson! Why? Well, this week our English lessons have been linked to Food Technology and we were doing product research. We tasted biscuits and had to write down appropriate vocabulary; the children then used thesaurus to up level their work. We then used this knowledge to create adverts for the biscuits we would be making later on in the week.

When Wednesday arrived, we were very excited because Wednesday was biscuit making day! We used our maths skills to read scales and properly weigh out the ingredients. We then rubbed the flour and butter together and added the other ingredients to make a dough. After chilling the dough, we rolled it out and cut out biscuits. They were then popped into the oven and came out looking and smelling wonderful.

Thursday was World Book Day. You came dressed up and looked fantastic. There were lots of excellent costumes.
