The big battery hunt at Wybunbury

Home » News » The big battery hunt at Wybunbury

The children of Year 5 have today challenged Wybunbury Delves to take part in 'The Big Battery Hunt' which is a nationwide battery recycling initiative funded by Duracell. Children in schools across the UK are encouraged to think about the importance of recycling, and then challenged to collect as many used batteries as they can. The aim is for each pupil to contribute to an overall total of 4 million batteries being recycled.

Each family today has been given a pupil collection box to collect as many used batteries as they can. Instructions on the side of the boxes tell you which types of batteries are accepted and are able to be recycled. Please bring in your batteries in your boxes when you have some to recycle and we can add them to our school big boxes and hopefully see lots of batteries which can then be recycled!

Thank you and we look forward to filling up our boxes and helping to recycle as many batteries as we can.
