Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
Autumn Term Sports Report
We have had a very busy sporting calendar this term.
In athletics, we took part in Quad kids, Sportshall athletics and Cross country. In football, we had tournaments for teams from years 1 & 2, years 3 & 4 as well as ongoing matches for years 5 & 6. We also took part in a Boccia competition.
In school we have:
€ Trained year 5 & 6 playleaders to run activities and games at break and lunch times.
€ Run inter house competitions at lunch time.
€ Provided after school sports clubs in athletics, football, fencing, streetdance, netball, hockey, cheerleading.
€ Continued with Core Fit in year 6
It has been lovely to see how many children have taken part in clubs and competitions, sometimes for the first time, and have thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
We have been placed, either as teams or individuals, in every competition. A fantastic achievement! Special mentions must go to Tyler, for winning the year 5 cross country, our Year 3 & 4 football team, for winning their tournament and qualifying for the county finals and our Boccia team, for winning their tournament.
Spring term promises to be equally as busy. Crewe Alex will begin training with KS1, Year 4 will go swimming and Core Fit will continue in years 5 & 6. We have competitions for football, cheerleading, KS1 sportshall athletics, cross country and school games, to name a few!
A big 'thank you' must go out to parents for ferrying and supporting the children at events. The sports calendar, and other information, can be found on the sports boards, either outside on the playground or in the hall. Invites to take part in competitions are sent by email. Please keep an eye out for these and reply as soon as possible.
Finally, an even bigger 'thank you' and 'well done' goes out to the children for working, and trying, so hard and for just being fab!
