Archaeologists In Year 3
Year 3 have been finding out about fantastic fossils today. We learnt that there are three types of fossils and today we had a go at making our own versions of fossils. We made trace fossils, cast fossil and mold fossils. We were unable to make a true form fossils as we didn't have enough ice or amber (or an animal freeze inside it).
In English, we have been learning about main clauses, subordinate clauses and fronted adverbials. These are new words and concepts which have taken lots of our brain power. We have tried hard though and I am very proud of how much you have all taken on board. Great work every one.
Statistics has been the focus of our math lessons this week. We learnt that once data is collect, it can be presented in a number of different ways such as tally charts, pictograms and frequency tables. We surveyed the class to collect data and then learnt how to draw a bar chart.
Hope you have a great half term,
Miss P
