Another busy week in Year 2

Home » News » Another busy week in Year 2

Time is really flying now. This week in Literacy we have been learning about the History of Egypt and writing a long factual piece to tell the story of how Egypt developed. We learnt lots of facts about Kings (and Queens), where they came from and what they did.
In Maths we have been looking at money. We have been adding to find totals of coins and then number lines to find the difference between different amounts of money. We remembered that if two numbers are close together we can count up on the number line to find the difference between the numbers. If they are far apart we count back the number that we are subtracting to find the difference.
We have learnt to debug programmes and have fixed some apps on Espresso. If any one would like to do more programming at home you can download free apps such as Daisy Dino. If anyone finds a good one please let us know so that we can share.
Enjoy the weekend.
