Home learning packs- All of the children's home learning packs were put in the office on Tuesday 5th January ready to be collected. Each pack from Y1-Y6 included: English book, maths book, power maths book, red topic book and stationary. Unfortunately, no reading books have been given out due to cross-contamination however you can access children's reading books on the oxford owl website. Your children's class teacher will have provided you with instructions and a login so that you can access these EBooks online.
All of your children's home learning is set up on seesaw and will go live at 9am from Monday- Friday.
Each morning you will receive a good morning video from your class teacher this will be set up like the register. You will then be assigned a phonics, reading, maths and English task to complete at home. In the afternoon, you will have worship and a foundation subject activity assigned to you. The day will finish with a lovely story by one of your children's teachers.
It is a government expectation that 3 hours of work is completed by KS1 children and 4 hours of work is completed by KS2 children. We have tried to plan our home learning curriculum around different subject areas and topics so that your children can experience a part of what they would experience at school. It also helps to keep all of our children in a school-based routine. We are constantly reviewing our home learning curriculum and listening to feedback from our parents and children so that we can make it accessible to everybody. We understand that home learning is a great challenge for most families but we appreciate everything that you are doing to help your children's education continue during this lockdown.
If you are new to seesaw and need help accessing it then please visit this website that Mr Dale has kindly set up. You can visit it here: https://sites.google.com/view/wybunburyseesaw/home
You can contact your class teacher directly. The email addresses are below for each class:
Preschool parents -- email address as normal.
Please allow time for your class teacher to read and reply. This may not be straight away due to responsibilities still in school, or that they have entered self-isolation their self.
This has been one very challenging year for us all but we thank you for your continued support. Seesaw is already flowing with brilliant work and it really puts a smile on all of our faces in school.
Stay safe and take care of each other.
