Thank you to all parents, carers and staff for your participation in the consultation on whether Wybunbury Delves CofE Primary School should seek academy status as part of Chester Diocesan Academies Trust (CDAT). All responses to the consultation have been gathered
and analysed (including any comments submitted on questionnaires and at consultation meetings), and a report to Governors has been provided. Subsequently, Governors have confirmed that they would like to proceed with the academy conversion process and the
school is now making the preparations required, with help from the CDAT team.
An application to convert will be submitted to the Department for Education (DfE) and we will then await approval from the Secretary of State for Education who will issue an Academy Order. A proposed conversion date will be agreed by the school, CDAT, DfE and Cheshire
East Council and included on our application to the DfE. However the proposed date will be dependent on whether all actions for conversion can be completed in this time. It is quite usual for schools to experience delays on legal aspects of conversion, although it is anticipated that Wybunbury Delves will be straight forward in this respect. CDAT confirms that the pupils of Wybunbury Delves are of priority, and we can reassure parents that the day-to-day running of our school will be unaffected by the work required to convert to academy status.
Thank you again for your continued support and please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.
