Our Church School
Although we are Church of England Primary School, we serve our local community and you do not have to be a Christian to attend. Each day involves an Act of Worship that follows the Church of England Calendar. The local vicar of St Chad's, Wybunbury, leads the Worship once a week. There is a close relationship between the school and St Chads (St Chad's website).
Parents, grandparents and younger siblings are invited to join us for Community Worship in school on Wednesdays led by our vicar. We also welcome parents at Church for Harvest, Easter and End of School Year services. Children perform a nativity at Christmas and the older children organise a Carol Service. Link to our policy for worship.
We are very proud of our church inspection judgements, May 2012. Inspectors found:
- The commitment to the school's vision, of all concerned in the leadership and management of the school
- The understanding of the Christian values of the school by pupils of all ages
- The outstanding spiritual, moral social and cultural development of all learners
- The commitment of all staff and parents at the school to its vision and aims
making our school an outstanding church school where, 'The calm, caring, family atmosphere created at Wybunbury Delves ensures all feel valued and welcome and provides pupils with the opportunity to develop spiritually and morally within a distinctively Christian environment.'
