Here are a few photos of our visit to Kaiyaba. We hope they give a flavour of what teaching and learning looks like at our partner school.
Whole school worship outside the older parent-built classrooms. Between the two teachers — Eddie and James- you can just see a large metal box. This is the Ken tank provided by Nantwich Weaverside Rotary Club to help provide the children with fresh water.
The second picture shows us teaching the children one of KS1's Harvest songs.
In photo three you can see we used the Y5 Learning Log homework task on Food and farming in the UK as a resource for our teaching with the older pupils. The children were fascinated!Photo four shows us teaching and pupils learning Kenyan style!
And finally, a snap-shot of the ECD (Early Childhood Development) children, aged 3 and 4, learning to play Kaiyaba, Kaiyaba, Kaiyaba...WYBUNBURY!
