Year 3's Day Out

Home » News » Year 3's Day Out

Year 3 had a lovely day on Friday. We went the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. In the morning, we took on the role of Anglo-Saxon villagers. Everyone in Year 3 sat beautifully whilst you listened to a story. Throughout points in the story, you had to make decisions which would determine the fate of your village. You all chose wisely and our village survived the winter. Good work team!

After enjoying our lunch, we learnt about the Staffordshire Hoard. We then got to investigate it and see the wonderful treasures that had been found after over a 1000 years of being hidden in the ground. Finally, we went on to make our own replica of an Anglo-Saxon helmet.

We had a great day and I am so proud of all of you. You were beautifully behaved and even the staff at the museum commented on how brilliant you were.
