Our Year 2 class has been getting in the Christmas spirit by imagining what it would be like if Jesus was born today. We have read a lovely story called email:Jesus@Bethlehem. and though about how we could design a new birth announcement for Jesus. As we wrote our sentences we thought about the key questions of who, when and where?

In Numeracy we enjoyed measuring in cm using metre rulers and tape measures. We are getting to know the world of measure very well. On Friday we had some strange clocks in our classroom, they only had one hand, the hour hand! We explored the job of the hour hand and talked about all the facts we know related to time.

Thankyou to all those children who have brought in a number bond rainbow this week, they have been wonderful in helping us practise our quick number bond facts.

Our Nativity scene is looking ready for our Year 2 narrators to share the Christmas story. We will begin our dress rehearsals this week. We are also looking forward to visiting Tatton Park farm on Wednesday.
