Year 2 first few days
Welcome back, it has been great working together again over the last few days.
In our phonics time we have been looking at the first 100 high frequency words so that we can sort out the ones we need to learn to spell.
In Literacy we have been looking at writing recounts of things that we have done and you all did a fantastic job of telling me how to improve my writing! We will continue to look at ways of making our writing more exciting over the course of the year.
In numeracy we have been looking at 2-digit numbers and comparing them on a number line, we have also been counting on in tens from any single digit.
We began our topic work by looking at 'Where our wellies had taken us,' over the summer holidays. If you have any postcards or photos from anywhere you have been, please could we borrow them to copy for our wall?
Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to help us over the next couple of weeks, I am really looking forward to what we have planned.
Enjoy the weekend, see you Monday.
