Well Year 4, you should be very proud of yourselves this week; not only have your worked your socks...
We are in full swing in Year 5 already. We have continued to experiment with the wet on wet...
What a wonderful week we've had this week together in year 2. We have continued our learning...
We've all settled back into our rhythms and routines and have immersed ourselves in our class story The Garbage King, where we are eagerly following the stories of Mamo, Tiggist and Dani.
Our research into the story's setting of Ethiopia has presented us with many amazing facts and we're now busy finding out about the coffee bean for our first Learning Log project.
In Literacy we have been exploring traditional stories and we are about to retell our version of an Ethiopian traditional tale — How the tortoise got its shell.
On Thursday, Mrs Jones will be doing some drama with us in preparation for our next literacy focus, play-script writing. Thank you to Mrs Jones in advance.
In Numeracy, we have been consolidating and extending our understanding of place value, the properties of number, rounding numbers, multiplying and dividing numbers by 10,100 and 100 and will finish the week with negative numbers. Do continue to practice all of these at home...and your times tables.
A summary of Monday night's Parent's Pastoral Meeting will be sent home this week. I hope those who attended found the information shared and the following discussion useful.
