WORLD BOOK DAY
In school, on Thursday 13th March we will be celebrating World Book Day.
Our focus this year is on Giving and Gratitude...we're giving our time to share a good read and being thankful for all the books we have.
There are lots of ways you can join in.
Why don't you...
- Dress up as a book character for our Fancy Dress Competition — prizes to be won!
- Bring along your reading book. We pairing up with different classes to enjoy sharing story time.
- Donate a book for our BOOK SWAP. This will take place in the school hall during the day. The book can be fiction or non-fiction or poetry.
If you donate a book to our Book Swap, you will be able to swap it for a book of your choice. These books should be in good condition and a book that you think someone else will enjoy reading. The Book Swaps for each class will take place during our shared reading times.
- Donate a non- fiction book for our KS1 library. It must be in (very good condition or new). There may be older children in school who have out-grown some non-fiction books and would like to donate these books for use by younger children in school. All donated books will be acknowledge inside with a label saying who the book has been donated by. If you would prefer to send in a money donation towards the purchase of a book that would be a lovely gesture.
