This week in Y6
We have had a busy week! We have spent a lot of time looking at Forces this week. We have learnt about gravity, friction, air resistance and magnetic force. There has been lots of vocabulary to use and we enjoyed making paper spinners. There was plenty of maths with our science work too — line graphs, tables, charts, bar charts and some calculations to do too.
We have found out about the Blitz and how it affected life in the UK.
In literacy we have focused on word classes and sentence types.
We have also started some art work in the style of Joseph Bato, a Hungarian war artist who had a sketching licence in London during WW2.
We love our story! Y6 think it should be made into a film, the description included in the text really bring it to life!
A busy week! Enjoy half term Year 6!
