Thank you to all the children who helped in the garden this afternoon. We all enjoyed the sunshine and we managed to clear weeds from two of the beds. We then planted a blackcurrant bush, two raspberries and five strawberries. We are all hoping that they grow quickly so that we can sample them.

In literacy this week we looked at the nursery rhyme 'Mary, Mary, quite contrary' and thought about what we could grow in our own gardens. There were some very interesting ideas, from monsters to sparkly fairies, Venus fly traps to roses!

In numeracy we have been looking at number families, finding pairs of numbers that make the same total. We have made them with numicon pieces and written number sentences for them.

The first of our 'Learn along' sessions is next Wednesday — starting in Community Worship and then joining us to work in class.

Enjoy the weekend, let's hope that the weather stays nice.
