Our Week in Year 2
A busy week has been had by all of us in Year 2!]
Today has been a wonderful celebration of reading as we have enjoyed reading books in lots of different places, and what a collection of characters we had in our class! Your costumes were great! Well done to Lola for winning the Year 1 and 2 prize. We have shared books with Pre School, read books in the library and taken the time to look at your hard work in learning logs. Your selection of places for your learning log homework activity has given us lots to think about. They range from somewhere in your house to places abroad. There was even one from my home town, Chester!
In Numeracy we have focussed on how we can display information in block graphs and bar graphs. We have worked in a group to decide upon a question based on books and World Book Day. We then created a way to collect the information and asked another class in school for their answers.
These are some of the questions we came up with.
Tomorrow we will continue to work in groups to create bar graphs with the information collected.
We have also been painting in the style of William Turner and created a dance based on the machine from Leon and the Place Between. In RE we continue to look at the Easter Story in preparation for our Easter Service in a few weeks times.
As next week is Sports Relief week can we all try hard to remember our PE kits for lots of activities throughout the week. It should be a good week, and one to look forward to!
