News from Reception
It was great to start the week looking at your silly soup! I can tell you enjoyed doing that activity at home. This week we have focussed on the 'a' sound. The word wizard has had a wonderful time casting spells to create new words. We counted how many words we could find in our garden. Whilst singing the song....red and yellow and pink and green.... we have been making rainbow letters. I hope you have fun with this activity at home this weekend.
Your ideas for lots of races have been fun, and the story You can't beat a cheetah! has given us lots of ideas about how important taking part is. It has even gone home in a few book bags so you may get to share it at home too.
It was exciting to see the Lorry come to visit our school field, we found out how to stay safe around large vehicles and it was great to sit in the driving seat too. On the way back, Finlay found a bright orange furry caterpillar. This was definitely a highlight of our week.
Next week we are keen to do lots of activities based on aeroplanes. If you know of anyone who has any connections with aeroplanes, please let us know. We would love to invite visitors into our class.
Have a good weekend. If you have time please keep checking all your uniform and PE kit has your names clearly labelled. We are trying hard to encourage children to find their own names in their clothes.
